Individual therapy is a type of psychotherapy that allows you to work one-on-one with a therapist at GATE. Our counselors will help you work through the difficult situations you’re facing, your feelings of anxiety, and potential triggers causing your anxiety. This type of therapy can help you acknowledge your diagnosis and begin to create healthy coping strategies.
This type of therapy is meant to help you identify the negative thoughts that are leading to negative behavior. For anxiety, our licensed counselors will help you establish healthier thoughts and effective coping mechanisms to triggers. Cognitive-Behavioral therapy is all about practicing these new thought patterns and behaviors to improve your mental health.
Group therapy for anxiety provides a space where you can connect with others who have the same diagnosis. You can share personal experiences, hear from others, and receive support from people who understand the challenges you’re facing.
Our licensed counselors use tools such as board games, storytelling, role-playing, sand trays, and expressive arts to combine therapy and gaming.
Therapy Based on Your Needs
Our licensed counselors are dedicated to providing only the exact therapy services you need for your unique mental health issues and diagnoses.
How Our Counselors Can Help
At GATE, our counselors are licensed and experienced in providing psychotherapy treatments to help you improve your mental health. We believe play and games are a great way to work through different mental health diagnoses, including anxiety, and build healthy thought patterns, behaviors, and coping strategies.
GATE Therapy Intake Process
At GATE, our team of counselors and social workers strives to make receiving therapy and mental health treatment as stress-free as possible. Below is our therapy process.
Before we begin therapy treatment, we must first receive important information that will help us better understand your situation. We ask for information regarding any prior diagnoses, treatment desires, and whether you prefer in-person or telehealth sessions. We will set you up with our confidential web-based program, TheraNest, which will help keep all of your information in one place.
The evaluation step in our therapy process includes a self-evaluation and an evaluation conducted by one of our licensed counselors. We will work with you to decide the best therapy treatment for your mental health issues. A treatment plan will be drafted that is specific to your needs.
Once you begin appointments, you can cancel or reschedule at any time. You can also apply credit card information for co-payments and check your appointment schedule all on TheraNest.
